During the initial lockdown of the first pandemic, Kaká suffered from kidney stones as he remained confined to his home daily. Additionally, due to the subsequent lockdown during the second epidemic, his oral cancer treatment was postponed indefinitely, leading to his passing shortly after China fully lifted the lockdown.
These photos were taken of me and my pet experiencing the street scenes together, capturing the last moments I could spend with him. The photos were taken between September and December 2021, between the first lockdown and the second major lockdown in Shanghai.
The three distinct periods that led to Kaka's illness and eventual passing are also moments that have been forgotten on the internet. These lost memories from the online world have left an imprint on my heart. Throughout these times, I continued to receive tragic news. My closest friends didn't succumb to the virus, but rather due to a lack of timely medical care. Their deaths go uncounted, as do those of my relatives and friends. Now that the epidemic has passed, it seems like it never happened.
